For the Turkish Journal of Resuscitation (TJR), in line with the Resuscitation Association’s open-access and peer-reviewed scientific publishing approach, we managed the end-to-end academic journal website and journal design process in two languages (Turkish–English).

In the journal’s launch year (2021), using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) infrastructure, we implemented and structured:

  • The academic journal website setup,
  • A peer-reviewed journal structure with reviewer and editor management systems,
  • Complete workflows for manuscript submission, evaluation, and publication processes.

Starting from the ISSN application process, we have undertaken the design, publication, and management of the journal’s two regular annual issues as well as supplementary symposium issues. In addition, we actively manage TR Dizin indexing processes, required reporting, and technical documentation. The DergiPark Scientific Publication Coordinator management is carried out by our team.

  • With the website we developed:
  • Published journal issues are presented and accessible,
  • Article abstracts and full-text PDFs can be downloaded,
  • Archive content and complete journal issues are available in PDF format,
  • Up-to-date journal information is easily accessible,
  • Open-access academic publishing standards are fully implemented.

For those who wish to explore our approach to academic publishing and academic journal design in more detail, we provide a reference to our previously published article titled “What Is an Academic Journal?” This content serves as a foundational starting point for institutions and individuals aiming to launch an academic journal, new editors, and those taking their first steps into the scientific publishing process.
